What You Get

Six Things Worth Knowing Before You Enrol

These are the qualities we return to when we design, revise, and deliver each course.

Pacing That Matches the Material

Reinforcement learning, AI ethics, and data pipeline work each require different rhythms. Our modules are paced around what the subject demands — not around what keeps completion numbers high.

Instructors From the Field

Each course is led by someone who has applied the material professionally. They know which parts are genuinely hard, which parts are often misunderstood, and which textbook examples do not hold in practice.

Notebooks That Actually Run

Every hands-on component is tested and maintained. Code examples in the notebooks reflect current library versions and are revised when things change. You will not spend hours debugging stale dependencies.

Office Hours, Not a Forum Thread

Questions are answered by the course lead in scheduled sessions, not by peer learners in a discussion board. Bring something specific from your own work — that is what the time is for.

Grounded in Southeast Asia

Case studies and examples reflect the data environments and industry contexts of the region. The AI ethics course draws on policy discussions relevant to Malaysia and its neighbours, not only to Europe or North America.

Honest About What We Do Not Know

Where a topic is genuinely open — where researchers disagree, where practice has not settled — we say so. We do not present contested questions as if they have clean answers.

Professional Expertise

The people who build and teach our courses have worked in the disciplines they teach. Ahmad Rizal spent eight years applying reinforcement learning in logistics. Syafiqah Zainudin has worked in AI policy and responsible deployment. Wei Liang built pipelines for financial services and e-commerce platforms. This is not a credential arrangement — it is the difference between someone who has navigated a subject and someone who has only read about it.

  • All three courses led by domain practitioners
  • Material shaped by what actually arises in professional work
  • Instructors available directly in office hours

Technical Rigour

Each course is built around working code and real data. The reinforcement learning module includes a small environment that learners build out incrementally. The data pipeline course uses shared example pipelines drawn from real-world structures. We revise the technical components when dependencies change, and we note when something in the notebooks departs from what you might find at a particular company or in a particular library version.

  • Jupyter notebooks maintained and tested each cohort
  • Python-based with current library versions
  • Technical revisions noted in course changelog

Learner Support

Support is not an afterthought at Wawasan AI. Every programme includes scheduled office hours with the course lead. Learners who fall behind schedule can discuss their situation — we have accommodated deferrals and extended timelines where there was a genuine reason. Our response time for email enquiries is one working day.

  • Office hours staffed by the course lead, not a teaching assistant
  • Email responses within one working day
  • Deferral arrangements available on request

Transparent Pricing

Our fees are stated clearly — RM 1,400 for the reinforcement learning module, RM 1,700 for the AI ethics course, and RM 2,100 for data pipeline engineering. There are no enrolment fees, no add-on charges for office hours, and no separate fee for the certificate of completion. Instalments can be discussed. We are willing to discuss group rates for teams at the same organisation.

  • No hidden fees or upsells
  • Certificate included in course fee
  • Group and instalment arrangements available

Outcomes That Hold

We do not measure success by how quickly learners move through material. We measure it by whether, some months later, they can reason clearly about the subject and locate the gaps in their own understanding. Our 96% completion rate reflects that learners who start a programme tend to find it worth finishing — but we are more interested in what they can do with the knowledge than in that number.

  • 96% completion rate across all cohorts
  • Post-course check-ins available to graduates
  • Course alumni network via email list

What Sets Us Apart

Three Things You Will Not Find Elsewhere

Region-First Case Studies

Our ethics and pipeline courses draw on cases from Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, and Thailand — not only from Silicon Valley or European regulatory contexts. The problems look different here, and the material reflects that.

Reading-First Structure

Each week begins with careful reading rather than a lecture video. We believe that working through text carefully is one of the most underused skills in technical education — and one of the most transferable.

Post-Course Relationship

Graduates are added to a low-volume alumni list that receives course revisions and occasional notes on developments in the field. This is not marketing — it is a continued conversation with people who finished the work.
