Our Programmes

Three Courses, Each Taught with Patience

Each programme moves at a pace that allows understanding to settle. There is no rush here — only a considered path through ideas worth knowing.

Reinforcement Learning Module

Reinforcement Learning Module

A patient module moving from foundational ideas through modern policy-gradient and value-based methods. Paced with weekly reading, hands-on notebooks, and a small environment you build over the course.

  • Foundations through advanced methods
  • Hands-on Jupyter notebooks
  • Suited to supervised learning background

AI Ethics and Safety Course

AI Ethics and Safety Course

A considered course on fairness, transparency, and harm reduction in AI work. Taught through reading, discussion, and small case studies — with attention to honest reflection rather than tidy conclusions.

  • Fairness and transparency frameworks
  • Real-world deployment case studies
  • Suitable for active practitioners

Data Pipeline Engineering Course

Data Pipeline Engineering

A measured course on ingestion, transformation, validation, and keeping data flows steady over time. Learners bring problems from their own work to office hours alongside shared example pipelines.

  • End-to-end pipeline design
  • Validation and monitoring practices
  • Weekly office hours included

Why Wawasan AI

What Makes the Difference

The conditions that allow learning to happen — these are the things we attend to.

Paced for Depth

Modules move at a rhythm that allows ideas to settle. There is reading time, practice time, and space to return to things that deserve a second look.

Practitioner-Led

Course content is developed by people who have done the work — not adapted from textbooks, but shaped by what actually matters in practice.

Office Hours, Not Chatbots

Questions get answered by people. Office hours are part of every programme, and learners are encouraged to bring specific problems from their own work.

Hands-On From Week One

Every module includes notebooks and small working environments. Concepts are introduced alongside the code that expresses them.

Grounded in the Region

Content reflects the realities of AI work in Southeast Asia — the data environments, the industry contexts, and the conversations that matter locally.

Privacy-Conscious by Design

We hold learner data carefully and limit what we collect to what the learning actually requires. Your study history is not a product.

Take the Next Step

A Course That Fits Where You Are Now

Whether you are stepping into reinforcement learning, thinking through ethics in your current work, or building more reliable data infrastructure — there is a place to start.

Common Questions

Things People Ask Before Enrolling

Who are these courses designed for?
Each course is designed for working practitioners — people who already have some footing in software or data work and want to develop a more considered understanding of a specific area. The reinforcement learning module assumes a background in supervised learning; the ethics course suits anyone actively building or deploying AI systems; the data pipeline course is for engineers and analysts moving into data engineering responsibilities.
How long does each course take to complete?
The reinforcement learning module runs over eight weeks with a recommended four to six hours per week. The ethics course is six weeks at a similar pace. The data pipeline engineering course runs ten weeks, as it includes more hands-on work and office hours sessions. All timelines are guides — learners who need more time are supported through the material.
Are the courses fully online or do they include in-person sessions?
All three courses are delivered fully online. Reading, notebooks, and assessments are accessed through our course platform. Office hours are conducted via video call and are scheduled to accommodate working hours across Malaysian time zones. Learners do not need to travel to Petaling Jaya to participate.
What is the fee structure and how do I pay?
Course fees are RM 1,400 for the reinforcement learning module, RM 1,700 for the AI ethics course, and RM 2,100 for the data pipeline engineering course. Fees are quoted in Malaysian Ringgit and can be paid by bank transfer or online payment. We can discuss instalments for learners who need that arrangement — please ask when you enquire.
Do I receive a certificate upon completion?
Yes. Learners who complete all module requirements receive a Wawasan AI certificate of completion. The certificate notes the course name, duration, and scope. It is intended as a record of the learning undertaken, not as a credential for regulatory purposes.
How is my personal data handled?
We collect only the information needed to manage your enrolment and deliver the course. We do not share your details with third parties for marketing purposes. You can read the full details in our Privacy Policy.
